Natural Dyes for fabrics/yarns

I took a workshop on natural dyes and want to grow native plants for natural dyes. I sew clothes for myself and costumes for some comedy shows and want to switch to using all natural non toxic materials. I can send an excel file with a list of plants that work and grow here, if anyone's interested.
Does anyone who lives in First Hill/Downtown Seattle want to start a community garden with me? I want to grow natural dye plants and anything else that helps with crafts, maybe basket plants, or even food if someone knows how to do that and wants to get involved with me.
I know most people in my area live in balcony-less apartments, so if we can get a piece of land in our area to make more use of and have fun I think we should do it
